Hello Friend,

As a CUPE member, your voice is the backbone of our union. To ensure we are supporting you as effectively as possible, we need to make sure our internal structure matches the reality of our membership.

Currently, our CUPE Alberta Executive is organized by regions. At our last Division Convention, members passed a resolution to explore whether we should update this framework. We want to see if it makes more sense to structure our leadership with representatives from Sectors such as Municipal, Health Care, Education, Libraries and Social Services or perhaps a Hybrid model that combines both geographical and sectoral representation.

To figure out the best path forward, we have formed the Governance Review Task Force.

Your perspective is valuable and this survey will take approximately 7-10 minutes to complete. It is completely confidential and it will directly influence the final recommendations we bring forward regarding how our union is governed.
